Papua New Guinea Fund Raiser Lunch

It is an absolute travesty that the recent earthquake and loss of life in Papua New Guinea has not been recognised in the same way the Christchurch Earthquake or Cyclone Gita has been by international media. The New Zealand Papua New Guinea Business Council is seeking to lift that awareness and raise some funds for recovery starting with our membership base.

Please accept this invite to attend this Fundraising Lunch and bring your friends and colleagues knowing that a good chunk of this fee will go  to those impacted by the recent earthquake.

Our guest speaker Mark Fox, Chief Executive of Mission Aviation Fellowship NZ, will talk about his companies activities in PNG before and after the earthquake

 MAF profile

With a fleet of 135 light aircraft in almost 30 countries, Mission Aviation Fellowship flies in some of the most challenging places in the world to transport emergency relief, medical teams, teachers and resources to people in remote communities so they can build better lives for themselves and their families. Each year MAF flies hundreds of medical evacuations to get the sick and injured to hospitals. MAF also provides a critical “link in the chain” for hundreds of aid and charitable agencies to get to hard-to-reach places.

Mark began his role as CEO for MAF New Zealand in 2008 and provides leadership to the NZ charity for the key strategic goal of raising resources for MAF’s overseas work, in particular staff and finance. Mark is extremely passionate about the work of MAF and has a desire to grow and develop the impact this unique work.

Mark and his wife Philippa live in Tauranga and have 3 adult children.
